Member Service Representative – Medical Claims & Benefits

$23.00–$24.00/hour (DOE) | Temp-to-Hire | Hybrid | Lincoln, NE

Job Description

This is a customer service-driven role supporting members with questions related to medical claims and insurance benefits. Rather than processing claims, you’ll act as the first point of contact, helping members understand their coverage, claim status, and next steps.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, communicating confidently over the phone, and has experience in insurance or medical claims.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls regarding claims, coverage, and benefits
• Provide clear, accurate information and guidance to members
• Navigate multiple systems to research and resolve inquiries
• Enter and maintain accurate records and documentation
• Support benefits-related questions and claim status updates
• Partner with internal teams to ensure timely resolution

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience in insurance, healthcare, or medical claims required
• Strong customer service and communication skills (phone-heavy role)
• Proficiency in data entry and administrative tasks
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes preferred
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
