Ultrasound Technologist (ARDMS) – Contract

Pay: $50–$60/hour

Job Overview

We are seeking an ARDMS Certified Ultrasound Technologist to join a team supporting a special municipal health screening project in the Chesapeake, Virginia area. This is a temporary contract opportunity working with a collaborative clinical team performing focused ultrasound studies using modern equipment.

The technologist will perform limited echocardiogram, carotid, and aorta scans with a manageable daily workload and structured schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform limited echocardiogram (echo), carotid, and aorta ultrasound scans .
• Complete up to 15 scans per day while maintaining quality and patient care standards.
• Operate Mindray M7 ultrasound equipment and utilize Roentgen Works PACS for imaging documentation.
• Ensure accurate patient imaging, documentation, and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and project team members to support municipal screening initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification
• Experience performing limited echo, carotid, and aorta scans
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-based clinical environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior ultrasound experience in screening or project-based clinical settings
• Experience with Mindray ultrasound systems or similar equipment

Schedule

• 4 shifts per week
• 9-hour shifts
• Scheduled Monday – Friday between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
