Based in Birmingham, AL, Cowin and Company is one of the Southeast’s most established underground mining and tunneling contractors. For over 90 years, we’ve delivered shaft sinking, raise boring, and tunnel excavation projects with a reputation for safety, precision, and grit.

The Opportunity:

We’re hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead tunneling and mining projects across the Eastern U.S. You'll manage crews, coordinate field operations, and ensure projects stay on time and budget — from ventilation shafts to complex tunneling through rock.

This is a travel-based role with a home base in Birmingham, AL .

What We’re Looking For:

• 5–10+ years in underground mining, tunneling, or heavy civil excavation
• Proven experience managing field operations and project teams
• Strong leadership, scheduling, and client-facing skills
• Willing to relocate to Birmingham and travel regularly
• Experience tunneling through mountains or rock is required
