Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Leadership: Provide continuous leadership and serve as a clinical resource for the OR nursing team.
• Coordinate surgical case schedules, manage patient flow, and facilitate effective communication among surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff.
• Care Coordination: Oversee the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based perioperative nursing care.
• Ensure adherence to AORN standards, established policies, procedures, and sterile technique protocols.
• Team Development: Mentor and support nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Assist with orientation of new employees and contribute to ongoing staff education and competency validation.
• Quality & Safety: Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and patient safety standards.
• Monitor surgical counts, infection control practices, and patient positioning safety.
• Resource Management: Ensure appropriate utilization of nursing and clinical resources, manage surgical supplies efficiently, and maintain a safe, organized surgical environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned and complies with all client policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current RN License in the State of Georgia or Multi-State Compact (RN-COMPACT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Required: Minimum of 1-3 years of acute care nursing experience, specifically within the Operating Room. Prior charge nurse or leadership experience is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Expertise in perioperative nursing practices, sterile technique, and surgical case coordination.
• Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in prioritizing tasks, delegating responsibilities, and managing complex surgical situations.
