Production and Assembly Manager - Manufacturing

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Production and Assembly Manager to support a newly established U.S. production facility. This is a unique opportunity to join a startup operation backed by a well-established global company and play a key role in building operations from the ground up.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is excited about shaping processes, leading a small team, and driving operational success in an early-stage facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production operations for a small production/assembly team and 3 production lines
• Oversee site logistics, including materials, inventory, and shipping/receiving
• Support the startup and ramp-up of production processes
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Establish and refine standard operating procedures
• Train, coach, and develop production employees
• Utilize ERP systems (SAP preferred) for planning and reporting
• Track and improve key operational performance metrics
• Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams
• Source, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to support production needs, ensuring cost, quality, and delivery expectations are met
• Establish and maintain quality management processes, including leading internal audits and supporting external/customer audits

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations or production leadership
• Experience in startup or early-stage manufacturing environments strongly preferred
• Background in assembly or electro-mechanical manufacturing environments is a plus
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to work in a player-coach role
• Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
