Job Description

Position Summary

The Cannabis Packager / Production Associate supports daily production operations by assisting with the processing, packaging, and preparation of cannabis products in a compliant, efficient, and detail-oriented manner. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and take pride in quality, consistency, and teamwork.



Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with cannabis production tasks such as trimming, weighing, packaging, labeling, and pre-roll production
  • Accurately package and label products in compliance with New Mexico Cannabis Control Division (CCD) regulations
  • Follow all state regulations, company SOPs, and compliance standards at all times
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace in accordance with GMP standards
  • Accurately complete production logs, batch records, and inventory tracking
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure product consistency, accuracy, and proper labeling
  • Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals
  • Adhere to safety protocols and proper handling procedures
  • Support additional production tasks as needed based on operational demand


Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check in accordance with New Mexico cannabis regulations
  • Willingness and ability to obtain a Cannabis Control Division (CCD) Employee ID (work permit) upon hire
  • Previous cannabis, production, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts
  • Ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs , depending on role requirements


CCD Badging Requirements (New Mexico)

  • Employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining an active New Mexico Cannabis Control Division (CCD) Employee ID
  • Candidates must provide valid identification and required personal information for application submission
  • A background check is required as part of the badging process
  • The employer will sponsor and submit the application; candidates must complete all required documentation in a timely manner
  • Employees may be permitted to begin work pending badge approval , in accordance with company and state guidelines


Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Food Handler Certification (for edibles production roles)
  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-heavy environments
  • Familiarity with cannabis products, packaging standards, or METRC tracking systems
