Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our medical malpractice team as a Nurse Paralegal. This role is critical in evaluating potential cases, analyzing complex medical records, and supporting attorneys in building strong claims.

This is an excellent opportunity for a clinical professional looking to transition from patient care into a legal setting while continuing to use their medical expertise in a meaningful way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Medical Record Analysis
  • Review, audit, and analyze medical records to identify key facts, timelines, and potential breaches in the standard of care. 
  • Case Intake & Evaluation
  • Conduct intake interviews with prospective clients, gather relevant medical information, and assess potential medical malpractice claims.
  • Identify and decline cases that do not meet firm criteria. 
  • Medical Chronologies & Documentation
  • Prepare clear and concise medical chronologies, summaries, and timelines to support attorneys throughout litigation. 
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Act as a liaison between clients and the legal team, ensuring accurate understanding of medical issues. 
  • Clinical Insight
  • Assist attorneys in interpreting complex medical information and identifying deviations from accepted standards of care. 

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted: 
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license  or
  • Physician Assistant (PA) license 
  • Minimum 10+ years of clinical experience  preferred 
  • Strong background in one or more of the following: 
  • ICU / Critical Care 
  • Medical-Surgical 
  • Surgical/Perioperative care

Schedule & Location

  • Full-time, in-office position 
  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM 
  • Located in  Macon, Georgia
