Job Title: Life Coach & Program Coordinator

Organization: Tim’s Big Heart

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico (Remote + In-Person Required)

Travel: Frequent Domestic & International Travel

Position Type: Full-Time

About the Role

Tim’s Big Heart is seeking a highly organized, compassionate, and proactive Life Coach & Program Coordinator to support both daily personal development for Tim—an adult with Down syndrome, and program execution for Tim’s Big Heart Foundation

This is a unique, high-touch role that combines 1:1 life coaching, daily accountability for Tim’s needs, local and international travel, and event/program coordination across the U.S. and internationally. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment, is travel-ready, and is passionate about fostering independence, connection, and inclusion for an adult with Down syndrome.

Key Responsibilities

1. Life Coaching & Personal Development

  • Provide daily 1:1 coaching (in-person, phone and text)
  • Develop and implement structured routines and action plans
  • Set and track measurable short- and long-term goals
  • Reinforce accountability, decision-making, and independence
  • Monitor habits, emotional regulation, and behavioral progress
  • Deliver monthly progress reports to leadership and family

2. Health, Wellness & Lifestyle Support

  • Support routines around fitness, nutrition, and sleep
  • Assist with scheduling and attending medical appointments
  • Monitor wellness data and encourage healthy habits
  • Provide emotional support and stress management strategies
  • Support social relationships and personal growth

3. Travel & Event Support

  • Travel as Tim’s primary support for speaking engagements, media, and events in the U.S. and internationally
  • Manage all travel logistics for Tim (flights, accommodations, schedules, safety)
  • Provide on-site structure, preparation, and emotional support
  • Ensure timely and organized transitions between commitments

4. Program Coordination & Event Execution

Own and execute Tim’s Big Heart programming, including:

  • Speed Dating Events (Quarterly)
  • Monthly Social Events & Community Mixers
  • Workshops & Life Skills Programming
  • Interest-Based Clubs (fitness, cooking, arts, etc.)
  • Family & Parent Engagement Events

Responsibilities include:

  • End-to-end event planning and execution
  • Participant communication (email, text, follow-ups)
  • Venue, vendor, and logistics coordination
  • Volunteer coordination
  • Feedback collection and program improvement
  • Maintaining organized financial records for Tim’s Big Heart program coordination
  • Capturing photo/video content during events for social media use

5. International Program Expansion

  • Support programming in Mexico, Jamaica, Grenada, and future countries
  • Coordinate 1–2 events per year in each partner country
  • Manage relationships with international partners alongside Executive Director
  • Adapt programming for cultural relevance and accessibility
  • Own global travel logistics and execution for Tim’s Big Heart team

6. Financial & Daily Life Management

  • Track Tim’s daily spending and oversee monthly budget
  • Manage Tim’s personal and professional calendar
  • Implement time-blocking and structured routines
  • Support household organization and responsibilities
  • Oversee sleep tracking and ensuring positive lifestyle building habits

7. Community & Social Engagement

  • Encourage Tim’s participation in social, fitness, and community programs
  • Support friendships, social planning, and healthy technology use
  • Facilitate involvement in activities like Special Olympics and group outings

Qualifications

  • Experience in life coaching, mindset coaching, or disability support
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High emotional intelligence and crisis management skills
  • Ability to provide consistent structure and accountability
  • Experience with event planning and program coordination
  • Comfortable with frequent travel (domestic and international)
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with content capture (photo/video/social media) is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license required

Work Environment

  • Full-time, high-touch role
  • Combination of remote work and in-person support in Albuquerque
  • Frequent travel required (U.S. and international)
