H&W Business Analyst

The Role

As a Business Analyst you will join a team of passionate Health & Welfare professionals committed to crafting business requirements that are crucial to our ability to serve as a directed record keeper for our plan sponsors. You will be responsible for providing business analysis support for client advised projects to ensure that the systems are functioning according to the detailed business requirements. Your interactions with the team will model Fidelity leadership principles to sustain an innovative culture and build a positive environment for your team.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Were looking for candidates with a Bachelors degree or equivalent years of industry experience 2-5 years of Health and Welfare benefits service experience and 2 years of benefits administration outsourcing administration (H&W) or similar experience. Interested candidates should be customer obsessed; and demonstrate the ability to balance customer service and sound business judgment.

Eligible candidates would possess the following essential skills:

  • Effective organizational time management facilitation and prioritization skills
  • The ability to analyze moderately complex business requirements/product issues
  • Understanding of benefits administration systems
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to conduct analysis and document findings
  • Demonstrates good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to follow and complete documented procedures
  • Experience in Agile preferred but not required
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications

The Team

As a valued member of the Project Delivery Team you would partner with the Client Delivery Portfolio Manager and Healthcare Program Managers to understand the goals and the work for each project milestone. You would contribute to the project through the execution of the responsibilities outlined below.

  • Perform moderately complex data analysis and reporting for effective client decisions
  • Identify problems with business requirements and recommend modifications to the functional solution which may impact the system design
  • Assist with defining test scenarios for Systems Acceptance Testing and support Business Acceptance testing activities through test case set-up data mining data mocking and test execution
  • Participate in validation and/or testing efforts to ensure results meet the client and/or product offering requirements
  • Assist in the execution and transition of interim needs
  • Assist with performing root cause analysis when issues arise before and after code migrations
  • Perform data/client validations and remediations for Annual Enrollment and Ongoing Projects
  • Provide tactical support on Manual Batch Processing/Participant Data Copying
  • Crafts training and reference materials for participant services
  • Participates in Procedure Improvement Initiatives
