Job Title Anesthesia Technician – Huron Valley‑Sinai Hospital Location Oakland County, MI Job Summary Responsible for the setup and assembly of anesthesia and physiologic monitoring equipment, assists with vascular access lines and intubation, ensures proper functioning of equipment, performs minor repairs, requisitions specialized supplies, assists with patient transport, cleans equipment, and removes anesthesia equipment after surgery. Responsibilities Set up and assemble anesthesia and physiologic monitoring equipment Assist with placement of vascular access lines and endotracheal intubation Identify and calibrate anesthesia and monitoring equipment; perform minor repairs Requisition highly specialized equipment and supplies as needed Assist with patient transport, cleaning, and removal of equipment Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent Completion of a hospital‑based anesthesia technician training program of at least one year or equivalent on‑the‑job training of one to two years under supervision of an anesthesia care provider Ability to read, write and understand basic physiology/medical terminology Interpersonal and communication skills for routine contacts with patients, physicians and other healthcare team members Physical/Mental Demands Ability to lift, position and transport patients, anesthesia gas tanks and other equipment Ability to stand and walk up to 50% of the work time Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate a computer terminal Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer match Generous paid time off (PTO) Career development and continuing education opportunities Health savings accounts, healthcare & dependent flexible spending accounts Employee Assistance program, Employee discount program Voluntary benefits: pet insurance, legal insurance, accident and critical illness insurance, long‑term care, elder & childcare, auto & home insurance Schedule Shift Type: Rotate
